Life is really unpredictable …
Parents take a long time to fret about the arrival of a new life … but when God decides to call a person home, it can be any time, at any place and any where …
Last Thursday, our factory manager went home to the Lord … some of us knew he hasn’t been feeling well for a few days … he thought it was just gastric flu and the doctor thought so too …but somehow, things turned out differently and on Thursday night, the heart attack just came and that took him home …..
We were all shocked … at how instant, how fragile a life can be … he was in his 50s … a very friendly and approachable man …
Hmm, office was super quiet on Friday morning … I guess everyone was trying to understand what had happened overnight especially for those who were his long-time friends/colleagues … everyone went about their work quietly, probably still in shock at how this had happened …
Anyway, one thing learnt – always treasure the people around you … pay more attention to them … afterall, you never know what will happen in the next instant …
He was laid to rest this morning and now, our big boss has announced a new acting factory manager … hmm, I guess life must still go on for those of us who are still making our way back home … and really, at the end of the day, a job is still and just a job, no one is indispensable … what matters is how you have touched someone’s life during the time spent on earth …..
